AGriDI Grants for Digital Innovations in West Africa

Farmers in West Africa face a lot of challenges in production mainly caused by lack of application of improved technological equipment in farming.

Total dependency on manpower, underdevelopment to name but a few. The viable way forward is going digital.

Digital technologies drastically reduces the total dependency of Farmers on human energy while maintaining high quality in products.

Digital technologies offers the chances to make it easier for farmers to efficiently produce quality agro-products without depending on human energy.

Both medium, small scale agro business owners will be able to manage climate change, market their products without stress and generate more profit.

This is the reason for the AGriDI Grants for Digital Innovations in West Africa, the grant will aid in identifying farmers challenges, strengthening farmers especially those in the rural and mini urban areas.

The AGriDI Grants for Digital Innovations in West Africa will improve agricultural production, marketing, storage and preservation of products by providing better and efficient technologies.

It will bridge the gap between farmers, communities, researchers, policy makers and agro investors.

Grants are awarded under three categories:

First Category 

This will support co-development and adaptation of digital innovations to enhance agricultural Productivity.

Second Category

This is to support digital innovative solutions to establish market linkages for farmer’s produce

Third Category

To support development of policies to support digital innovations.

Aim of the AGriDI Grants for Digital Innovations in West Africa

To support the development of digital solutions that address real challenges for smallholder farmers and agribusinesses in the ECOWAS region of West Africa.
