1. Product Executive (Insurance Portfolio)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the liaising between the insurance parties concerned; i.e. broker(s), bank(s) and the underwriter(s)
  • Develop business marketing strategies to promote the company’s insurance product
  • Identify Business/Co-operative leads for the company’s product services
  • Establish productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clientele groups that fit our insurance package
  • Work with the Agribusiness & Trading team and all other Product services team(s) within the company in identifying and working with additional clientele groups for the insurance product
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Understand client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction
  • Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
  • Maintain database and records of clientele information

2. FC Marketing Cinematographer

Job Objective

Reading scripts and liaising with the design and brand manager to produce media material to promote Farmcrowdy’s brand, visiting locations to take test shots. You should be skilled in using cameras and media equipment and computer applications.

Be able to suggest suitable lighting, angles, filters, and techniques to the brand manager, and also work with the social media and marketing team.

The Role

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and demonstrates good creative intelligence. Easily inspired, with a strong vision and the ability to communicate that vision to the brand manager and media team.

Creatively creates media content to promote the Farmcrowdy brand on the various social media platform. Vast in various media editing app.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Vast in photography and providing advice on Farmcrowdy’s media material where appropriate.
  • Working with the marketing team to ensure the desired effects and that the mood of videos and photographs are achieved.
  • Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (corporate videos,eLearning, websites, marketing demos, etc.)
  • Prepare design plan, concept, and layout for motion graphic/video project.
  • Create and deliver motion and video content for various media including web, mobile, etc.
  • Work with the marketing team to understand project scope and objectives.
  • Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance videos motion graphics
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention, and organization of files.

The Digital Marketing Manager will work on all marketing projects at Farmcrowdy

Key Responsibilities:


  • Contributing half of your efforts in the development of the team to organically building a full-fledged marketing agency that will cater to all in-house requests alongside prospecting other external clients for the sole aim of driving the agency for profitability.
  • Assist in leading Farmcrowdy Marketing as an In-House Agency with the goal of generating revenue from client engagement
  • Representing Farmcrowdy at external events when needed
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising for Farmcrowdy’s brands and products
  • Maintaining Farmcrowdy’s social media presence across all digital channels
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain Farmcrowdy’s social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals(ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for Farmcrowdy’s brands and products
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests across product lines and projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience across all channels
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels across Farmcrowdy’s product lines
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners in the execution of set projects and tasks that fall within agreed partnering scopes as stipulated from time to time
  • Evaluate emerging technologies whilst providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Core Digital Marketing Management Responsibilities:

  • Perform account management of pay per click accounts on Google AdWords and other search platforms
  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of keyword lists, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share and other important account metrics.
  • Provide creative copy suggestions for marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the management of Display network placement on AdWords and through other relevant advertising platforms.

4. Agribusiness Development Officer

Job Description:

The Agribusiness Development Officer work on all agribusiness projects for the FC Aggregation unit of Farmcrowdy. This will involve all activities that revolve in project planning & execution; also all offline and online commodity trading activities of the FC aggregation.

Reports to:   Senior Manager Agribusiness

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • To develop concept notes and project proposals; project scope would be within the agric value chain which could include core production, warehousing, distribution and processing.
  • Project planning, developing, integration and effective monitoring of activities for any given approved project proposal to ensure compliance, quality assurance and successful execution within stipulated time frame.
  • Conduct a detailed risk assessment and SWOT analysis on all agribusiness projects
  • Research and implement plans that would mitigate all forms of risks identified at each stage of the product; i.e. planning to post-production and market distribution
  • Formulate and design Critical Success Factors, Key Performance Indicators as well as Monitoring and Evaluation methodology for various stakeholders in proposed projects.
  • Source for arable land within potential and existing farming communities that could be engaged for small-scale or large-scale core production (farming) projects embarked upon by the company.
  • Liaise with project partners e.g input partners, mechanization partners, extension officers in developing EOP (Economics of Production) and executing each project.
  • Develop reports for all weekly operational activities for all of the projects embarked on.

Commodity Trading

  • Facilitate and co-ordinate all offline and online trading processes and activities using technology powered technical field specialists.
  • Logistics partners and Offtaker engagement for local and international trade.
  • Commodity sourcing for viable farm produce for and on behalf of the unit.
  • Research, processing and acquisition of certification, documents, and licenses required to facilitate projects and trade transactions.

General Duties

  • Work with existing Field officers (Technical Field Specialists) in the FC aggregation unit in any and all of the ongoing activities of the unit (Projects & Trading activities)
  • Submit weekly reports on all tasks assigned; to the Senior Manager, Agribusiness Unit
  • Attend all meetings within the department
  • Support other activities of the FC Foods unit, as directed by the Senior Manager, Agribusiness
  • Work with the data team in ensuring accurate database of all stakeholders engaged by Farmcrowdy i.e. Farmers, Input Suppliers (and pricing of all supplies), Farmers’ co-operatives, Extension Officers for each locale.
  • Work with the tech team in ensuring accurate information and a smooth work flow for all offline and online trading activities
  • Represent the company at events & meetings that are Agribusiness related; as directed

5. E-commerce Manager

Job Description:

The Ecommerce Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the eCommerce department of a company with a significant online presence.

He/She will handle decision-making for the website contents and Design, social media accounts, and online advertising. They will also be responsible for research and development of new online marketing strategies, and for hiring and training the rest of the Ecommerce division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own new item sell-in and throughout product life cycle (item setup, sell-through, forecasting, in-stock, pricing)
  • Ensure operational excellence through close collaboration with the Supply Chain team to maintain in-stock status on-site, optimize new fulfilment opportunities, plan for peak periods, and improve/eliminate chargebacks.
  • Develop and execute strategies to bring in prospect accounts and grow existing accounts to meet overall company plan and goals.
